Privacy policy

Who we are

Electronic Garden is a free open-air electronic music event in Brussels. This policy explains what happens to your personal data when you use this website and sign up to our newsletter.

Newsletter & the data we collect

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it to send you updates about Electronic Garden — such as the line-up, practical information, and timetable. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties for their own marketing.

We use a double opt-in process: after signing up you receive a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you click the link inside it.

Welcome drink voucher

For some campaigns we may issue a welcome drink voucher by email to selected confirmed subscribers. When we do, we copy your email address into our voucher system (hosted on Neon Postgres, connected to this website on Vercel). That record stores your email, a unique voucher code, and whether the voucher was opened or redeemed at the bar.

Voucher data is kept only for the event campaign and deleted no later than four weeks after the event (by 13 September 2026), except for anonymised aggregate counts if we keep them. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data before then, we will also remove your voucher record.

How your data is processed

Our newsletter is managed by Brevo, who store your email address and send our emails (including newsletter and voucher messages) on our behalf. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policy. Voucher records are stored in Neon as described above.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Analytics and Umami) to understand aggregate website traffic. Neither service uses cookies, tracks you across sites, or builds a personal profile of you.

Embedded content

Some pages embed content from third parties such as SoundCloud. These services may set their own cookies and collect usage data when you interact with them, according to their own policies.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter. Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. To make a request, contact us at electronicgardenbxl@gmail.com.
